The story
highlights a summer vacation spent with the father of a young woman named
Ronnie. Veronica Wills or Ronnie a 17-year-old teenage girl along with her
younger brother Jonah Wills is sent to spent their summer with their father who
lives in Wilmington. Their parents were divorced few years back and since then
Ronnie’s father is living in Wilmington who used to live in New York.
Ronnie is a messed-up girl. And she is very
angry with her father regarding divorce. After her father moved to Wilmington
Ronnie was arrested several times for shoplifting. Ronnie’s mother thinks that
spending a summer close with her father will be a good idea. But Ronnie had the
intention to avoid her father as much as possible.
When they
arrived to their destination Ronnie went to explore the beach adjacent to her
father’s home. There she met a handsome guy named Will. At first Will was more
interested in Ronnie than Ronnie. As time passed, they got closer. Ronnie
starts to develop her feeling for Will. Will also tries to make Ronnie familiar
with his family. Also, the father-daughter broken relationship starts to get amalgamated
gradually. But as the day passes things starts to get complicated at their
summer vacation. Healing heart of Ronnie starts to break again.
Nicholas
Sparks’s one of the best books is ‘The last song’. This book is not like the
other romantic books out there. This is the story of father-daughter and
boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. The ending of this book is bitter-sweet. The
characters in this book are very realistic. This book shows us how things can
be beautiful again.
So, if you
are a fan of romance novels you should read this one.
